Sorry! 🥴

Apologies to all my subscribers who would have received a newsletter yesterday only accessible to Paid Subscribers. There was supposed to be a blurb explaining why and offering a list of links to many of this month’s fiestas around Spain. Hopefully it goes through this time!

I’ll be back next Saturday with another fiesta, but it’s just not been possible to write one up this week.

Here’s a picture to whet your appetite. I recently came across this taken from one of our many autumn picnics/BBQs in Quintana, Soria that took place in a shepherd’s hut when it rained. After a morning of hunting niscalos (saffron milk caps) in the pine forests, we’d roast them over the fire with chorizo and vegetables. Along with the local bread, olives, Ribera del Duero wine, and roasted capsicum, it was a true feast!!
